Layla left another voicemail. This was her third but Erin wasn't getting back to her. She'd invited her for coffee, to another spa day, and not a word. Not even a text message or e-mail. She wondered if she'd come on too strong. She worried she might have misread things. It wouldn't be the first time. She never told Erin about that bit of her past. That's when she knew she had to be honest and direct. Not just with Erin, but the world. If she was going to be a role model for young girls then she needed to show her true self. Warts and all. She'd talked to her therapist about everything that had been going on and she agreed it was something she had to explore. She had to start saying things directly and asserting herself more and what better way to do it than add it to her biography.
